Trimming the Tree

We didn’t know at the time that this singular day would send our family down a path that has the Sommerfeld family ultimately planning to celebrate over six hundred themed Christmas dates. But that is exactly what happened!

We were just a young couple stuck in the middle of a pandemic without many ways to feel very “festive”. And so we decided that this year, the year of 2020, would be one that had a little bit of Christmas joy each and every day of the holiday season leading into Christmas. Whether it was a food element or a fun activity, we were going to have a mini-date every day forward that would bring a little joy and shine a little light on what had been a very tough year.

And this is the day of how it all began! And as with most Christmas seasons, what better way to begin it all than with getting the house ready for Christmas and decorating the Christmas tree!. It was ever so simple but felt ever so right to kick off our family’s 2020 Dates of Christmas.
