Holmes for the Holidays
Today was an appreciated low key Monday evening as we approach the halfway point in the season. This evening was a fun celebration of Sherlock Holmes at Christmastime! And as Ben always loves a good, punny theme, we called it “Holmes for the Holidays”.
After the kids fell asleep for the night, we listened to a 1954 audio recording of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Christmas-themed “The Mystery of the Blue Carbuncle” then did some of our own sleuthing as well with a digital escape room called “Sherlock Holmes: A Not So Very Merry Christmas”.
We played on the “The Mystery of the Blue Carbuncle” in which a rare gem was found inside of a Christmas goose by mixing up some Grey GOOSE cocktails and by also driving over earlier in the evening to have the twins deliver some Christmas CARBs to UNCLE Andy!
